Identity and Passport Service Publishes Company Blacklist

Adam Pegley, www.idcardandyou.co.uk

The Identity and Passport Service, the body responsible for introducing compulsory biometric identification, has published a company blacklist for biometric-free citizens and opponents to the identity card.

The document identifies over 200 companies tendering for contracts under the biometric passport and identity cards programme, and includes such famous names as BT plc, Fujitsu, IBM, Siemens, and Toshiba. Details of which areas each company has interests in is also included.

BT plc and IBM are tendering for all areas of the identity cards programme.

For consumers opposed to compulsory biometric identification, the directory provides a convenient list to identify offending companies and boycott their products and services.

The Company Profiles Directory is available in .pdf format at the IPS website.
